Dear Independent Workers
It is and never will be ethical practice for you to randomly message your clients for ANY reason whatsoever! That is the quickest way for you to not only loose them but also tarnish your reputation and self respect within the industry. No matter how tough things become trying to make it on your own within a saturated industry it should never bring you to the point of randomly messaging your clients asking them to book you. It portrays desperation and that in itself is not flattering. Before being driven by monetary gain stop for a second and consider the fact that he may have a spouse or significant other that may have access to his phone and your message could very well be the start of a trigger that destroys an otherwise happy or comfortable union. Be respectful of your client's time, privacy and family life. 90% of our clientele are either married or in relationships and they make use of the industry to switch off and break away from day to day life with a no strings attached requirement, afford them that and allow them to feel safe knowing that when they return homebound the day's activities are behind them. If again he wants to book you he will reach out to you, it shouldn't be the other way around, neither should a client feel stressed that his masseuse is going to hound him after hours an now feels tense about leaving his phone lying around just incase the messenger isn't a friend....this on it's own leads to questions from a significant other if it starts being something out of the ordinary and WHY on earth would you want to place your client in that predicament?
THINGS NEVER TO ASK YOUR CLIENT FOR OUT OF YOUR OWN ACCORD:
None of the above is okay in my opinion. If a client affords you the gesture and it comes from him that's a different story and you can either accept or decline but it should never be requested or become an expectation on your part. Learn to monitor and manage your income better in order to become self sufficient and you will never have to ask anyone for anything let alone your clients who essentially is already contributing to your livelihood. Respect is earned by what you action and not through self-gratification. Appreciate, respect and value your clients and in turn they will do the same.
Love, light, safety and blessings.
